18 weeks

18 weeks until I’m halfway through
The first one quarter of the rest of my life,
As an adult of course

…Damn that sounds long
Between the debt, tests, term papers and boring ass lectures
Is it really that smart of me to stay here and not run!

I did just survive twelve years of public schooling
And God knows that I could do without
The 45.000 dollar price tag of being some supposedly scholarly Stevens Student
But then again there’s no turning back for me
… Especially since there is no refund policy
And as much as I hate the quizzes and such
I do love physics and the lunch,
…Off campus of course
Cause that cafeteria food may just be killing me slowly
And I do have some great stories
From those crazy Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at the frat parties

So there I have it
Day 14 of the first 18 weeks of the worst years of my life
Might as well make the most of it
And besides if a college dropout
could register late and still graduate in an album or 3
I should at least b able to make it through that bitch known as chemistry
And for all the tuition, pop quizzes and the like
I’m going to be going through,
I’m pretty sure that when I look back
4 to 5 years from now I know I’ll be thinking back
Of this as the first 18 weeks of the best years of my life
