I'm into... Writing Painting Art
I label myself as an artist, although the most purpose my art seems to have at the moment is to stave off the blankness of my apartment's walls.

This reminds me of swinging as a child; when you lean your head back as you swing and the world is upside down. Another refreshing perspective on a life all too brief.

There are a series of four, all facial features. I am obsessed with painting on the edges as well as the front of canvas. I don't know why, it just feels unfinished. AND I had a blast figuring out how to twist the images so they met properly in the corners. Glad you like it, this is probably my favorite.

It was part of a larger series examining beauty in usual ways. I was desiring to show that beauty is just lines and shades. Having the image upside down forces the viewer to look beyond the image as a face. Thank you for the compliment.

this painting is quite good. what is the artist trying to portray through this subject?
