Military vs War

I think that what we are doing over [Iraq] there is pointless. Yet I am all for the military! People around me tell me that you can’t have it like that and I would like to know why not? My husband was in the military and went to Iraq, I didn't think that he needed to be there and neither did he, yet they keep talking about how this is an all voluntary war. A voluntary war, where people are being stoplossed and are forced to go even though their contracts are almost up. If its so voluntary well, they why does the government have to implement a "hidden" draft, and call it stoploss? If there are so many people that want to go to war, then why is he making people go!? Desertion is at an all time high these days, and yet the government doesn't see the coincidence with that? Am I the only one? This is just crazy! You hear about all these people that are for it, yet I don’t see them signing up!
