I really like the feel of your photography, it has a soft display about it.

From the moment I met her, I knew Tara Demianyk was different. I couldn't put my finger on it, but she seemed to be an eclectic mix of warm, entertaining, kind, rebellious, loud and introverted, all at the same time. Though we have been sorority sisters since 2004, we have only gotten close in the last 2-3 years, and in that time, I have finally discovered that special thing that makes Tara so unique - she has the biggest heart I have ever encountered.

Tara is the queen of giving people the benefit of the doubt, befriending those people that no one else takes an interest in, and offering second, third and even fourth chances. I'm quite certain she has never met a stranger. Tara has easily gone from sorority sister to close friend, neighbor and confidante. When my husband began traveling extensively for work, Tara was the first person at my door with her pajamas, offering up an impromptu slumber party to take my mind off of the big, lonely house. In the midst of many wine-induced heart-to-hearts, I realized that Tara was the one I could tell anything, without fear of judgment, embarrassment, or criticism. And the thought that she might reveal my darkest secrets and deepest fears has never even crossed my mind. I honestly don't think she has the capacity to knowingly hurt me, or anyone else for that matter. Like I said... the biggest heart I've ever encountered.

I've always known Tara had a thing for photography; she is always the first person to whip out the digital camera at events, or for that matter, during a simple ice cream break. For Tara, every moment is worthy of memorializing in a photograph. But I never knew what kind of talent she possessed until I was browsing through her portofilo on quarterlife. There, on the first page, was a striking image of a massive oak covered in emerald moss, reaching towards the sky as midday sun trickled through the branches of the surrounding trees. I felt that photograph in the depths of my soul. And I didn't know why... I just knew that it was beautiful.

At that moment, I realized that was the magic of Tara's photography. Somehow, she is able to capture breathtaking shots of ordinary, everyday scenes and situations, and create something extraordinary, something capable of touching another person's soul. Tara's own beauty, kindness and generosity, are reflected in her photography... that is what makes her pictures so incredible. I hope that one day she will be able to see in herself the pure, unique beauty I see every time I look at her or her photographs.
