The Ability To Dwell...What A Beautiful Affliction

Psycic Powers, ESP, Deja Vu...Just a few topics that the average American finds completly ridiculous and without basis for discussion. But haven't most of our greatest discoveries come from ideas or suspicions that were once thought to be without merit?

Psychic power is one of the most taboo of the afore mentioned topics, especially within certain religious groups. To claim to know things that would ordinarily be beyond any ordinary persons awareness is considered a defiance to God. He is the only one who knows the happenings of tomorrow. He must be the only one...or on what basis does he claim to be in full control of our day-to-day lives?

ESP. In a world where trust is naivity, and things of any importance are gaurded with forceful resolution, the idea of someone having the ability to delve into our most intimate thoughts is terrifying. Our mind is the only thing that we can truly claim...right? (At least for now, but thats an argument I'm not going to cover..yes, yes..You're very welcome).

Of course I must include Deja Vu. It's a bit of the supernatural world that most, if not all, of us have experienced. The feeling of knowing a place, or recognizing a certain sequence of events. It's enough to make the most fixed critic stop and wonder...if only for a moment.
