about me.
I'm a wanna-be Artist, Poet, Photographer. My head is usually in the clouds. Easily distracted by all things glittery and shiny. In the real world, I work with the MRDD. I've also worked with old folks and young folks, even though I never considered myself to be a people person. I can't write with a pen if the cap is missing. So there it is.

It seems to me that people have mostly forgotten that we are involved in a war on Iraq. The media coverage isn't quite as intense as it once was...or we've become numb to the whole situation. I'm not sure which...or it's both, perhaps. People are still dying over there...our soldiers are still dying...innocent people are still dying. All of the everyday moments in life that we take for granted...we go about our lives as though nothing were happening (for the most part, I think). What about the citizens there? No longer is their biggest concern (not that maybe it ever was, but it's just to illustrate my point) whether they'll have enough time to make a pot of coffee before dashing off to work, or will they just pop in to Starschmucks. When do we hear about this so-called war? When some punk-marine may or may not have tossed a puppy off a cliff. And if he didn't really, but only pretended to do so, whilst on tape...well, then...it would appear those Marines have too much time on their hands,no?
I am hoping that whether Democrat or Republican, our next Great American "Leader" will finally wrap up this mess that has been created, and our soldiers can come home, and the Iraq nation can begin rebuilding a better government and society for it's citizens.
