a friend of mine died today at noon. I feel like the world should have shifted, but it hasn't. The world is still spinning just the same, though his life has ended and his family and friends' and fiancee's lives are shattered. He just graduated. He was supposed to be getting married this month. He was an amazing person, who'd already lived through a brain tumor. He shouldn't have had to have anymore problems. He shouldn't have died of what he survived the first time. He shouldn't have died. But who am I to say should. I know that I don't rule the universe (despite what some people might believe of me), and I know that the universe doesn't run the way we want it to. But ... well, this just sucks.
If my vague inclination to compose a piece of music in memory of him, I'll let you all know.
