Wow - I've heard of parents confusing children but never pets and children. That's unique. Or is it? :)

I think everything you have to say is interesting, some more than others :-) but I'd like to offer my $ .03 concerning your career dilemma. Wondering can be a good thing when you look at as a way of "keeping on your toes", but don't let it stop you from making what you "feel" is the best choice. And don't worry about the what if's.

Celibacy for a year? I'm doing that. Not by choice... I wish you luck, though! I hope it brings you closer to some enlightenment.

i think that everything happens for a reason and that in the end things work out. we all learn from mistakes and we all take what we can from life lessons. dont worry. im not going to promise it will be easy, but in the end you will look back and see how amazingly things worked out. there will be little thngs that you didnt notice at the time that have become a huge reason as to why you ended up where you are now. take comfort in that at least?

in memoriam

Jun 10, 2008

a friend of mine died today at noon. I feel like the world should have shifted, but it hasn't. The world is still spinning just the same, though his life has ended and his family and friends' and fiancee's lives are shattered. He just graduated. He was supposed to be getting married this month. He was an amazing person, who'd already lived through a brain tumor. He shouldn't have had to have anymore problems. He shouldn't have died of what he survived the first time. He shouldn't have died. But who am I to say should. I know that I don't rule the universe (despite what some people might believe of me), and I know that the universe doesn't run the way we want it to. But ... well, this just sucks.

If my vague inclination to compose a piece of music in memory of him, I'll let you all know.
