a dream

lastnight i had a strange dream that i did not remember until around 5:30 pm as i was walking home from the beach. i saw a woman walking to cocker-spaniels and it was like i was automatically transported back inside my sleeping subconscious from 16 hours before.

for some reason, in my dream, i was visiting my old house. i rarely have dreams where i am so young as to still be living in Dawson Creek, lastnight was one of those rare times. in this dream i walked into my old house and approached myself at 7 years old. immediately recognizing myself and how old i was by how i looked i asked 7 year old me where my puppy was (when i turned 7 i got a cocker-spaniel, named Suzy). my 7 year old self happily pointed to a little blonde curley haired puppy on the floor that was wagging around just like i remembered her doing.

this is the jist of what i remembered and the strangest thing wasn't the fact that i spoke to my younger self but that my younger self was happy. i think it must have been because of the puppy.
