- ,Anything Yalom really,especially When Nietzsche Wept,um Love's Executioner,Momma and the Meaning of Life,Necessary Losses of course,and many others that I'm sure I loved when I read them,but my memory is not so great,no really,I'm a cognitive trainer,I know this for a fact.,
Movies
- ,Love Actually,Across the Universe,Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...there goes the memory problem again,lots more i'm sure.,
Music
- ,pretty much anything from the 60's and 90's. yep,very different decades,very great music (although 90's is questionable,I still like it and make no apologies),
Random things I enjoy
- ,coffee. singing in my car in traffic (at the top of my lungs). a good cry. the sunset at Laguna Beach,it's different every time. my friends. Freud. beer. exchange students. berkeley. taking pictures. del taco. keeping my car as messy as possible. bumper stickers,on my dashboard. purple. secretly listening to superfob persian music. rapping when i'm drunk. buying high heels even though i don't wear them. falling asleep in the sun on the grass.,

wow, interesting read~that's a hell of a self-analyzing synopsis! as I read that, I though to myself "I'm going to lose track of this train any second.." but I was with you for it all. While I'm aware of the dynamic that exists in the kinds of relationships you described, I always viewed them much more simply, as in there wasn't any will being projected. But this is just a comment, I'll opt not to make a novel of it ;)

i can definitely understand what you are talking about. its not a "i dont miss him/her because i dont need another person in my life" its more of a "i dont miss him/her because they showed me that they showed me through their actions and their words that they were not the person i needed in my life" those kind of people are the people that show up so much clearer what we do want. that makes us picky but at the same time it does open more doors to new options. we are usually so focused on one option that we dont see what else is available. but once we see that a certain thing is something we dont want we are able to look around and see the other options around up. most of the time though we look at the closed door of that option for so long we dont notice that another door has opened.

I think I'm in transition. Out of college and going back and forth on whether to go back to school and continue to live the irresponsible student life, or get a full-time job and start my life.
I'm going back to school.
I want to say it's because I want my masters, which is true I want to be a therapist, but I think it's because I'm not ready to grow up just yet...
