fen: April 27, 2008 - 10:57 PM PST I would say in auto that I'm like Dylan, just by the way she dresses and acts at the beginning of the show. The single artist who just writes, my case paints or sculpts, what she feels. Whose room is in a state of some sort of disorder. Though I admit I'm not as liberal, and sadly not as passionate about my beliefs. In one way I relate to Debra in the fact that I am scared to death to take the unknown step. I feel trapped in m life like I have no choice, but I know I need to do something, I'm just scared as hell to do it because it means sacrificing what I know and am sure of.

elg0nz: April 27, 2008 - 06:54 PM PST So im like Dylan in the way that i feel alienated, i feel like I'm weird, and sometimes its ok others not so much.

Jed in the way that I believe myself to be a creative person and sometimes i feel myself as an not understood artist as inmature at that may be. Also I become lazy with the excuse of 'creative conflicts'.

Eric in the way that i really stand up and get angry and raise my voice for things that i care about.

And sadly im also like Danny, i tend to care about things that doesn't matter as much (dead end relationships, money) and rant, rant, and rant about how things don't go the way I planned.

I can't wait for the next season (if there is a next season)

chipmunk: April 27, 2008 - 06:15 PM PST i would like to say that im like dylan because i really dont like lisa at all, but now that i think about it it might just be that i dont like her because im most like her. she is insecure and tries to hard to convince people she isnt. i dont near as far as lisa, but sometimes i wonder if i am trying too hard to get people to like me, (it doesnt work anyway) jk jk!

swollenlips: April 27, 2008 - 05:57 PM PST From watching all of the shows, I realized that I really relate to Lisa. I thought that I would relate to Dylan in the first episode, considering I am a publishing intern, working her way to be an editorial assistant (which Dylan actually is, not a associate editor, the writers obviously don't know the difference), but after watching, I find Dylan's character quite annoying. At her age shouldn't she have herself figured out a little more? Will she stop dressing so frumpy next season? I really hope so. She reminds me of Felicity without the good parts.
Lisa I relate to because she's insecure, but not entirely proud to admit it like Dylan is. She's embarrassed about her problems. She fucks up things so she doesn't have to deal with them, as I used to do before I "got it." She's probably the most real character on the show, and reminds me of myself when I was still searching for who I was, and times when I still am. Debra is the most annoying character on this show, and I wish the writers would make her someone that we could relate to a little more so I didn't dislike her so much.

Franchise: April 17, 2008 - 08:35 PM PST Since I believe that I have a diverse personality, I believe that I relate to all three of the male characters. As Jed, I am first and foremost creatively versatile, although it lies within the aspects of music, photography, and writing. As Andy, I consider myself to have my own quirks and have a bit of perverse humor, but it's totally all in good fun as I am sure it is the same for Andy. And as Danny, I have that wild and crazy side that like to put myself out there and be seen as well as heard. I don't have as much luck with the ladies as Danny does, but I am socially adaptable and carry a bit of confidence as he does.

SuperDave531: April 15, 2008 - 06:47 AM PST I have now come to figure after weeks of thinking about it, that I'm much like Jed. I'm the true artist that longs to be sucessful and independent with his sucesses. I live for the art even though it doesn't always live for me.

Bitsie, on the other hand... that's a woman who's got it together. There's nothing wrong with having insecurity, being sheltered, or complaining over nothing from time to time. That's human nature. I just have a problem with people who glorify it. They're flaws, not features.

i wouldn't say it's being glorified. the show is about her journal, her private thoughts, so that's what we get. that's the point of the series. to show that everyone's got this other side where all of their crazies weigh on them. everyone's got flaws, why not embrace them?

I'm definitely Andy with ladyparts. I think it's the sense of humor he exudes in his blogs that we share. Plus, I look cute in glasses.

I love it when girls wear glasses. And Kevin Christy IS damn funny.

I'm waiting for someone to say that they're somewhat like BITSIE, not Dylan. Because that's someone I'd be interested in getting to know.

We seem to have a lot of Dylans here. That is an interesting study. Do we relate most closely with Dylan because we are meant to? Because she is the MC of the story so we see the most of her, we are able to relate to her more easily? A lot of times when this question comes up (which character are you most like?) the MC is the most popular answer.

Something to think about

Dylan highlights the WORST qualities that many women her age have, such as her insecurity, her tendency to complain when there really isn't anything wrong, and for the most part, a glaring lack of perspective.

Bitsie, on the other hand... that's a woman who's got it together. There's nothing wrong with having insecurity, being sheltered, or complaining over nothing from time to time. That's human nature. I just have a problem with people who glorify it. They're flaws, not features.

justfeelngtired: April 14, 2008 - 06:05 PM PST I'm Dylan through and through...
though i have yet to break out of my self-defeating tendencies like she has... hah.

"it's my curse that i can see what people are thinking, what they want to say and cant say, who they want to be with... and what good does that do me if nobody can see me?"

ugh, story of my life.

dex2988: April 02, 2008 - 06:34 PM PST I'm waiting for someone to say that they're somewhat like BITSIE, not Dylan. Because that's someone I'd be interested in getting to know. Lisa? Please. I'd never admit it if I was anything like her, and I'm not. Or Danny. Or Andy. Or Vanessa. Or even Jed when he's being totally unrealistic about what he was hired to do. Eric and I would be good friends after fighting bitterly about where we stand on the issues. And Debra...oh how I love Debra, flaws and all.

I am like John in that music is very important to me and I'm a harsh critic of my own material. And I'm like him in that I'm WAY too forgiving of self-destructive women that I've been in relationships with. Since I look for any sliver of hope in a person, I tend not to move on quickly enough. But from the looks of him, I probably weigh about 30 lbs more than he does and we're about the same height.

littlebrit88: April 02, 2008 - 06:26 PM PST I'm like Dylan because I over-think too much and I'm a hopeless cynical romantic. I'm like Lisa because I don't think I deserve where I'm at and I don't believe I'm pretty even though people say I am.

superway1313: March 28, 2008 - 05:55 PM PST personally, i think im a lot more like dylan, because we are in the same type of situation n a lot of ways. but my really good friend jeremy is just like andy, and he looks so much like him too.

alkgwathien: March 28, 2008 - 02:29 AM PST Anyone who I get to watch qL (which is a lot of people, I'm like a walking advertisement) says I am exactly like Lisa. I guess they are right, except minus the whole sleeping around, I'm just more of a tease... I think it is really adorable though because my best friend is exactly like Dylan. We have so much fun watching qL together because we have each found a character to relate to.

berdo: March 27, 2008 - 04:30 PM PST Probably closest to Andy, though I have my moments of both Jed and Danny coming out there. Okay, I have moments of Eric, too, with the activism stuff, but mostly Andy. Yeah...wait, what about Frank?

chem: March 21, 2008 - 06:27 AM PST I need to get away like Debra...but then again, I don't see things the same as other people do like Dylan has a nack for.

Franchise: March 17, 2008 - 07:38 AM PST Not to sound all too conceited or anything, but I think I'd relate to and share similar qualities with most of the guys on the show. Except for Eric though. He's too strong willed and determined. I have a bit of a combination of Danny's good looks, Jed's artistic drive, and Andy's quirkiness and dry humor.

pacerd: March 15, 2008 - 09:39 PM PST I think I can identify with all of the girls. I know what its like to be lost and dependent on a guy like Debra, and insecure like Lisa but I think Dylan is the one I relate to the most.

kurvy1: March 15, 2008 - 03:42 PM PST I think I'm a lot like Dylan as far as her and Eric go. When he entered the plot their relationship automatically reminded me of my boyfriend and I. It's not the fairytail picture of loving your partner and seeing no fault but rather how stiring up passion from your differences and then in the end being ridiculously drawn to eachother.

sprintcess: March 15, 2008 - 09:23 AM PST I have seen 16 episodes. And I think I am mixture of all of them, except Danny. He is an ass. I can't just choose one of them. You have to combine them all together to get me.
