i’ll hug you close with bare arms in the snow
the ice beneath my feet clinging to my toes
but your smile in my jacket chases out the cold

a ripple in in your hair breathes a life of surprise
i gasped for fresh air while drowning in your eyes
giving you my heart do you hear how it cries

feelin like a kid again as we play this little game
searching for a place i could reach to carve our names
the way you laugh at me makes me glad that i’m so strange
holding you like this i know ill never be the same
