Everything is so peaceful at night.
Including the cigarette filling my lungs with smoke.
I hate the silence for leaving me with my own thoughts.
The chill bites my fingers and sends shivers up my back.
The clouds block the moonlight from shining as brightly as I would like.
While my whole body is cold, my heart is warm, despite the pain that is has felt.
Sometimes I wonder if I would like life better if it all worked out logically?
Not run by emotions, but run by reason.
A middle between these is where most people settle.
I can't seem to find that spot.
With all the thoughts running through my head, you're the only one I can focus on.
You're what I'm thinking about right now. You're what my mind keeps coming back to. It doesn't matter how hard I try I can't keep you out of my thoughts. You stay there and won't leave. I'm not sure I want you to. I like having you here with me.
