I was raised catholic, and went to a catholic highschool. Most of my friends got confirmed, and it was a big deal. But when it came time for me to be confirmed... I found that I just didnt believe in the words that the Bible said. I was one of only a handful of people in my school not to be confirmed. My mother was so upset.
But in the end, I realised something. Its not the words in the Bible that are important, because they were written by humans, and whether or not God told them what to write, they still translated it into their own language, a language that often dosnt make sense.
The words of the Bible dont matter, its what your heart says that matters.
I havnt been to church in years, but I am still a very spiritual person. I still believe in God, but I dont find inspiration in the Bible, I find inspiration in my thoughts and what my feelings are telling me. That works for me, it may not work for you.
Good luck with your journey.
