Self-Esteem

This may be long so prepare yourself.
Self-esteem is the difference between every living person on the face of the planet. What it basically means is- how a person views themselves. That's it. It affects many many many different aspects of life though, more than one would normally even think about. For instance, self-esteem affects:
+One's view of themself
*to break down further...
^what do i have that they don't? Why can't I be like that person? Am I not really that smart? I don't think I am worth it. blah blah blah....

+Their composure and how they present themselves (depends on how they feel and if they are happy with who they are.

+The way one comunicates with others
*Do they just slap a dead fish in your hand or do they give you a firm handshake?
*Can they look you into the eyes when you are talking to each other?
*Do they speak up or speak under their breathe?

With low self-esteem, people feel insignificant. Unfortunately, along with this insignificance, people may build a defense against it. They may either put on a facade that everything is alright like a mister tough guy/girl or just be an emotional basket case.

All too often do we hear of girls getting pregnant when they don't want to be and/or are waaaayyyy too young. My opinion, this is low self-esteem on both people's parts.

For example, Let's review the guy first:
He doesn't like how he doesn't "fit in" with the other guys. To make it right in his mind, he may have sex to satisfy this desire to be dominant, in charge, and in control- when really he lost control. This may very well all be sub-conscientiously.

For example, let's review the girl now:
She doesn't feel that she deserves or is ever going to ever have a chance in heck to get with a certain guy so blows him off for some low-life who is not worth it and is 24/7 horny- and an asshole. Again, b/c of the low self-esteem she ignores his assholeness and lies not only to everyone else but to herself that she likes assholes of guys that treat her like sh** and don't really care about her, but care abut themselves more.

THEN ON THE OTHER HAND...

we have High self-esteem.
With this people can do some pretty amazing things. People hold their own and really show who they are- their true colors. Mine's Blue. haha just kidding. Anyway, truth, honesty, integrity, all stem from high self-esteem and are what actually give people the light in which to light the way. These are the people i like hanging out with.
