Roadblocks

What is the purpose of roadblocks.I know everyone knows what it is and I know to,but what is the point.Well right now I'am doing my senior project and the problem is that I have interview my buddy Brad(my youth pastor)but of course life ends up hitting me in the face and I have to move it back.It really fustrating me.What do u think a roadblock is.
