I have been digging in awesome American new bands playing in L.A... The Ninja Academy are my favorite thing... then comes of The Death of Mr Lewis... Then there are these Jazz virtuoso players I've seen at the Catalina, oh my god!!! Stern, Mike Stern and that other bass craze, Victor Wooten (his site is dead corny, but he is the bomb!)
Lately I've been listening to Dave Brubeck, Yan Tiersen, Jan Garbareck , Michael Nyman, the Bela Fleck again, and thinking too much of Penguins. That's bad.

Film

Napoleon's Funeral post- production.
Also finishing the first draft of my U.S feature and starting to change full scenes of the beginning.
I got a great story character pitched and I got to pitch that one myself to a great screenwriter.
I'm also developing a short to either shoot myself of pass on to another director. I have also another Director writing a Road Movie for me... that's really going to be cute. A Paris Texas of the 2000 era! I'm still in love with chicken.

That library drawing was a homage to learning.I knew when the colours were applied I was out of my depth but the work incorporates vivid images that appealed to me then and now.As for comparisons with the great ones you have mentioned I am flattered but my work doesn't come with in miles of their great insights and contributions to the field of art.
My greatist reward comes from creating something that is personally honest and agreeable with others on the same level if you know what I mean. You appreciating this work truely means a lot to me,thank you.

Perfect happiness is you and me in an escapade to Griffith Park. Our mini nature drive.

Perfect is your body, its temperature, the color of your eyes and your scent, specially when your clothes are dry, but you have been on the bike all day.
Can I kiss your neck?

Perfect happiness is tempeh cooking, but the one you cook for me, the polenta vegetables are also lovely... Still the one I loved the most is the one you put in a tupper ware and I forgot in the car... Remember? What did we do that day? Was it movies or did you take me to Montmare?
I promised to myself never to go there without you. (Of course the bar doesn't count)

I even think perfect happiness is when you drive and I sleep on the seat.
I like the way you looked at me that day when I woke up by some corner of Hollywood Boulevard and you were just looking at me. I loved that look, I will always know it.

Perfect happiness is an evening of coco nut ice-cream and films that make you cry and then think and think harder... How many movies were on that list we never got to see?
Do you know I miss you?
Do you think that is right?

Perfect happiness is us together... and you feel it too. You know it when it happens.
