Painting is not about anticipating the outcome or forcing the process. In my life I am always doing something to get to the next task but with painting my task is to not decide where it is going. For my painting to work it has to take on a life of its own; I cannot put one foot in front of the other and the more I let my art speak for itself, the more it speaks to others. Success in art is not a set method, done in a mechanical way, but letting the brush create whatever your passion dictates.

I agree with mcavenagh on this. Although I think it is also possible to know enough about people in general and how they act so that you can predict how they will act toward you. I know sometimes I don't want to see the truth of that prediction, but it is ultimately there.

I think the only thing you're wrong on is about shutting people out. YEah you make yourself pretty vulnerable to getting hurt. But eventaully you'll find someone who is the same way as you and it'll be the greatest thing in the world and it will last.

Just another rainy day...
its raining here too...odd. But I feel for you. My spring break is being taken over by school so its not really a break at all. Screw responsibility...
I pretty much agree with you on the relationship stuff. Sometimes I feel like I imagine problems in a person just because I'm trying to protect myself from the same things that have happened in previous relationships and it ends up ruining the current one. Then the really stupid stuff always randomly pops up in my head when I'm like in the shower or something and I'm just like "I can't believe i did that!"
Anyway, hope things get better. Get some sleep too!

I understood that with anything in life it is important to dedicate myself one hundred percent with passion and focus. If I become distracted or my mind is too active, there is no point in even attempting the task before of me. I might complete it, but I have not lived it.
I have grown up in London since the age of five but am originally from nyc and my entire family is american. i love and am inspired by my friends and those i meet and crave new experiences and change...I appreciate what the business of beauty is about, but have learned that all the jewellery and designer clothing in the world will not prevent real life from happening. The fantasy can be on a page in Vogue but not in the real world. A world where tragedy cannot be prevented and imperfection cannot be corrected. A world where imperfection and beauty should be able to co-exist: A world where our flaws are what make us beautiful.
