Summer in the City

Summer is definitely here in Vegas. Been over 100 for about 2 weeks now. I have to say that I love this weather, and I do love this city. While I don't think that I am going to stay here forever, this is such an amazing place to be at the ripe age of 25. I'm happy to have the chance to lounge by the pool with a cocktail and friends, have the chance to go to Lake Mead and just chill. I went to a friends birthday party on the strip the other day, and that was an amazing time... like had a rough time at work the next day good time. But it was so amazing to be in a suite in the MGM Grand. DAMN! Granted, there was a little too much to drink, 80's music and lots of crazy dancing going on but that's what it's all about right? I just wish that I could have spent the day at the pool there with them, but alas, I just started this job and taking a day off to get drunk poolside at the MGM would not have gone over very well I think. But life is pretty sweet right now. I love my job, I mean it has its hiccups, but what place doesn't? I'm starting to get some new ideas, I'm thinking about starting a new series of paintings. I really love working with the idea of memory and using mixed media, so I'm not sure why I haven't gone there yet. I think that I may be overdue. I used to love to do that in college, so what's stopping me? Maybe the heat...
But I digress, I think it's time to branch out and start this new thing. I really want to do a trip-tic, but we'll see how that goes. Work on paying some bills and slowly buy the canvases. I don't know, but I have to say, I'm kinda excited.
