Babble for the future film makers, and similar fields of art

I started writing this as a welcome reply to a newcomer..then I felt that perhaps I should add it in my blog box.

I miss the REAL feeling you get from watching the classics. His Girl Friday, for instance.. great cast, great story, had uniqueness for the time, had grand humor, and something for everyone.

movies today, are so FAST-laned, that you only get so much time to develope a character & attach them to the viewers, before the ending credits roll.

So! I say to you, as perhaps advice... Do what it takes to make your work work for you. Meaning, Never try to over think or over load on words, people and props. stick to the heart of whatever story you're trying to tell. and you should, (hopefully), triumph with a work to be talked & thought about, and watched more than once!

In any field, Hold onto these three H's
heart
humor
hunger

Hunger is what drives you to keep strong to getting to your desired destination.
Heart is what you gotta have for your work. Without heart in your work, you may as well stop what you're doing. and Find what field you DO have heart in.
Humor is well.. we NEED to keep a sense of humor, especially in a high stress work field. If you can't laugh when it rains on the last day of a vacation for outside, you've GOT to Laugh, and ADAPT for enjoying that vacation in another way!

And of course, Always - Stay true to your self! (a cliche that means a lot.)

C, once again, you're right. And I bought His Girl Friday a little while ago, just haven't had the chance to sit and watch it, I'll make sure to hit it next.
