THE QUARTERLIFE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS HERE!

Finally -- after months of preparation -- the quarterlife Internship Program is live. Many thanks to The Intern Queen herself, Lauren Berger, for bringing her considerable skills to quarterlife to help us establish this resource for our users.

I invite you to click on our new OPPORTUNITIES page to see the hundreds of companies that have already signed on to offer internships to qlife users. You'll find companies in all sorts of businesses and in cities around the country, and those numbers will grow in the coming weeks. For legal reasons right now the Internship Program is only open to currently-enrolled university and college students, but we hope to be able to offer PAID internships to non-students in the near future!

In the coming months the OPPORTUNITIES page will also grow to include contests and competitions aimed at giving real-world experience to aspiring artists of all kinds. Please keep checking the site to see what will unfold.

And next week our QLASSIFIED page will go live -- your chance to interact with the entire community, make announcements, look for work, find crew-members for your projects, buy and sell equipment!

And a few weeks after that every qlife member will be able to sell his or her own work -- photos, videos, paintings, writing, music -- right on the site. A unique function that will further define quarterlife as THE social network for creative people.

We're bursting at the seams right now, creating new functions and new shows. Watch for our redesign in the coming months, as well as "Film School" and "Ask Marshall". And please tell your friends and colleagues to join. We are committed to building a great site and a great community.

Great job so far, the expansion looks promising. I'm excited for everything else you have planned. I wish I was still in college so I could take advantage of all of these great opportunities. Based on the current economic difficulties facing college graduates right now I know that paid internships for non-college students/college graduates would be very helpful.

Good times ahead! Can't wait for the PAID internships ;) Love the QLassified section. Will certainly be hitting up my artsy friends to take advantage of these opportunities and sign up with QL. Vive le Quarterlife!
