creativity inquisition
Jun 28, 2008 - 08:34 AM PST
my composition book.
an open anthology of
positions i've once or
always held.
like footprints in the
sand i plan calm, cool
impressions riddled
with confidence.
context mixed to fix/
ate a broad band of
situations not implicit
to others
constant rebound
of the same exact question
continuously replays of,
"hey, why do you write?"
skipping my once
novel sigh, now traded
for prideful breathe
of an explanation ready for expantion.
simply
put:
i love
to create.
in my poetry i've designed fates
of many plagued by misfortune,
flipping the coin on ambsance
while acquiesced the loud truths not to the tune of the majority.
where once lie heads
now stamped is tails
tall tales of epic failure and agression
now monumental success and fruition.
in my poetry i've built bridges
between nations and
so set fires to lines
of segregation.
fought for oppressed
while eliminating discrimination.
crumbled flags of affliction
while raising colors of tranquilization.
my poetry has created
the extrovert for inside
loud screams the
solitary introvert.
my poetry is molding
the expert out of the once
simplicitous understudy
of the beginner.
my poetry will also
change the heart of a
cold, restless sinner
now remedied to that of a scion.
golden hearts always
bare a rebel fist
whether it be riots, in the streets
or suburban unrest best we
keep our eyes open as
the wings we bring to a poker
table where all our souls are
exposed. where action
is chose over silence.
in the end, i thank nurture
for my nature of expression.
for although cleanliness is next to godliness.
creativity is downright sacred.
