of trust

trust is a silly thing—
it is a greater accomplishment to be trusted than loved. i'm not offended that i am not trusted; but then again, without trust——one may never fully experience the most beautiful abstract concepts: chance, love, joy, even betrayal or abandonment.
funny thing, i got a fortune cookie once that this kinda reminds me of. but first, follow: if there is trust, than there is also doubt, for it wouldn't be trust if you knew for sure there wasn't a fear of losing something precious. the "fortune" cookie told me, "doubt is a beautiful twilight that enhances every object." my reaction of course was, "what kindof a bullsh*t fortune is that?! but that was totally zen... far out." i still have it stapled to my ceiling.
