I believe and follow all the lessons of the great late Dr Seuss.

Interests

Music

,I have never identified with one type of music. If you were to look in my IPOD or at my car's preset stations you would see a lot of different types of music. I love good music, that being music that has a real message or real emotion or even music that makes me just want to dance as well as a white guy that grew up in the suburbs can dance. It does not matter what type, minus country with that whiny twang,I listen to it.,

Movies

,Little Miss sunshine,Garden State,Dune,Anything James Bond,A Death at A Funeral,Rain Man,All the Presidents Men,Hackers,Luther,anything Monty Python......,

Books

,Love to read, though I do not as often as I might like. I am Currently reading 2 books. One is about Marco Polo and the other is a bookby Bonhoeffer titled 'The Cost of Discipleship'. Sherlock Holmes stories, even though I disagree with some of his ideas on limits of human potential. Gideon's Trumpet, for those of you that like legal minded books. Lewis and Tolkein can be fun. Oh yeah and Seuss,

My buddies are actually using cooking oil to tranesterify. I'm hooking them up at my restaurant and getting a pretty sweet finder's fee for it. They sell oil now @ fifty cents per gallon. But since they are getting it for free they are kicking me down with a lil somethin somethin. Good times! When I sell my car for a diesel one, I can buy biodiesel from them for $1 a gallon. Now who can pass that up in this day and age where petroleum based gasoline costs an arm and a leg?

Despite the minor spelling mistakes: "confussion" & "a new" this is really good. Ususally, I point out a line or two that really stood out to me as good, but honestly there were too many to include. Among my favorites: "Alone with none but thoughts of death" and "Cut out the cancer of the soul."

In Hiding

This was all to unreal, discovering a secret landing platform with three space worthy ships, a warehouse with more supplies than an entire colony could use in a year, and now a take off into space. Oran sat on the floor in the warehouse wondering to himself how he could get out of this. Carefully he began to walk between the rows of crates stacked up almost two stories. It was getting late, which probably accounted for there not being anyone in site. He came across an office at one end of the warehouse. It was locked, but he could see through the window a video-com, if he could get in there maybe he could call someone for help. Searching the area with his eyes he found a fire suppression unit. Since carbon dioxide was needed for the terraforming project, that would allow Mars’ air to become breathable for humans, and water was to scarce a resource most fire suppression units used liquid nitrogen. Grabbing the unit from the wall he sprayed the door. After he used the entire contents of the canister and the cloud cleared from the door, Oran used all the force he could muster and kicked the door.
“Oww, fuck that hurt” Screaming loud enough that if there was anyone in the warehouse they knew he was there too. Looking at the door it was still there, but on closer inspection there was a small crack where he kicked. Sucking it up again he kicked the door this time trying to make sure he didn’t scream. The door then caved in on itself, Oran’s eye released a few tears of pain. Now with the door no longer in his way he went to the video-com. Thinking whom he could call he tried the first number that came to mind, Selena. A few seconds later his sister’s face appeared on the screen in front of him.
“Oran, where the hell have you been? You disappeared from work; they called me and asked why you never reported to your second transport.” The screaming head did not look happy.
“I don’t know, I was trapped on a transport and then shifting crates hit me and I woke up at some weird place.”
“What do you mean a weird place? That transport went to Neue Berlin, you have been there before.”
“This isn’t Neue Berlin.” He hesitated, “This place is like some kind of base…with spaceships.” Seeing on the screen his sister’s speechless face.
“What do you mean? There are no more spaceships, they were all striped for parts to help the colonies survive.” She paused and a smile came over her, “You’re your joke is over, you had me going. But who would believe a story about a secret base with spaceships.”
“I am not joking; I am here at some base. I have been sneaking around for almost an hour and I need to find a way out.” Oran realized that he needed to convince her that he was telling the truth and find a way out.
“Who is that behind you?” Selena asked. Which Oran took a second to process, he turned around and was standing face to face with a man in a uniform similar to that which the guards he had seen walking the parameter. Selena watched as the man cast in shadows pulled out a gun and shot her brother. A few seconds later the video-com ended the call.
