Well, my business is photography and I specialize in photo documentaries and fashion. We cover weddings, as we consider them documenting a day in a families life, yet 75% of my clients are non-profit orgs. I shoot medical documentaries and I follow children as they undergo life saving surgeries provided by top surgeons at no cost to their families. One may ask how that would help a nonprofit...well my images are used in books, fund raisers, Grant presentations, newsletters and much more. I build awareness to the public community of what these nonprofits do to change the lives of these children and their families. I also follow disaster aid documenting floods, storms and the aftermath. these specific images help raise money to continue the efforts in helping rebuild what was lost.
Im currently trying to find a way to create a non-profit section of my company to service only non-profit clients. my goal then is to begin a funding source within my company to help cover MY costs so i can p

I really like this shot. It is almost fanastical like something you see in a dream. How did you create this effect?

For me the medical/documentary shots are the most interesting, both from the point of view of composition and color, and from the point of view of interesting material. This image is extraordinary, I think; the position of the hands against the blue background, the wonderful light. I especially love being shown the hands of the surgeon at work.

I like this so much! Did you use a texture overlay? And the coloring really brings out the mood of the picture :)
