I love finding the magic in ordinary places. Props to drewish for finding this pic, but I rather like the "noise" at the bottom - 1) the way the red van rises to meet the (also red) SUPER Coin Laundry, forming a little triptych with the other vehicles and the two sides of the laundry; 2) the series of diagonals under the sign, a wonderful interaction in depth; 3) the roof lines that knit the whole together, a sort of rhythmic, three-dimensional arabesque; 4) in context with 3), the placement of the blue van.

I only went to Montgomery when I needed art supplies or film developed. Though I always did want to go to that underground jazz club....

Hey! Thank you so much! I love what you put in your about me. I feel much the same way.. shy and unique. Also, I'm a vegetarian so I relate to the dislike of hunting. I did go once on a hunting trip that my parents set up with their pastor. He said I'd get "first shot" if we saw anything so I just remember praying the entire time that we wouldn't. My prayers were answered and I've never been back out there since. Except to enjoy the scenery =P. (Now I'm just rambling) Have you lived in Tallahassee long?
