If I understand what you're saying, you find this one different from my others, which I find to be the case also. I am fond of this one, but I'm working in a very different direction now. I think that people respond to the clarity of the image - including the clearly defined tonal areas. The technique has limitations that are not evident in this image (it's hard to get faces looking satisfactory, etc.).
