Nice shot,birchbark puts me in mind of all it's uses in native history.Once when in summer camp north of Montreal we took a small patch of from a young birch,using the sap too we made a perfect water tight seal over the leaky area of our birchbark canoe.This method one of the seniors told me had been used by the natives of North America for hunreds if not thousands of years.
