A LINE LEFT UNTOLD

How did i lose my place
i was always in line on the right track
but i felt that in this line
I'd always be behind,
following another and what they had in mind

doing what i thought was right
never once trying to put up a fight
they said you were good for me
yet did you ever question, was it meant to be?

so i stepped out and looked around
and within seconds he was found
light and dark lied within
for he wants you to lose so he could win
a gracious ray shines right through
that gracefully shows that he is true
yet should i follow what i know
or leave and see where this will go?

selfishly i could chose me
and follow what i want to see
yet the timidness within keeps me stuck
yet i press on to test my luck
break away and found out?
or remain and know?
2 questions i cant just yet say
that the answers are clear as day.

ill hold a spot in line
and test how far i can go
take a chance to question
and take away the know
follow the unknown and see what i could find
yet ill always wonder if you still held my spot in line.
