battle scars

so this song like i wrote about my scars i have on my face from this real bad car accident i was in but whatever it turned into being about more than just that....so yea this is a song that actually means like alot to me....

deep marks, discoloration

the left side covered with mutilation

darkly buised knees

faint indentation from an old wound along the lip

fresh deeply laid gashes upon the wrist



battle wounds that never really leave

scars from somewhere no one could believe

maybe its from that car you just happened to be in

or that hallway you happened to slip in

maybe its from the knife you should never have had in your hand

or is it from colliding with that girl in gym class that made you forget

how to stand

battle scars

that come from cars

or from the halls

or the voice within that causes you to fall

doesnt matter cause in the end theres always a battle that leaves scars



a heart that slowly breaks while beating

that shattering feeling of being left behind

the cold regret of never saying goodbye

that reflection you find disgusting,find yourself loathing

having to let go of what you feared the most, losing him



its this constant up hill battle making life harder to hang on too

everybody seems to have moved on without you

if feels like right from the start

you were doomed to fall apart

nobody seems to really care

all they do is fucking stare

and these scars never seem to fade

leaving you to feel like youve been played



but in the end all you can do is see

that these are battle scars

that come from cars

or from the hall

or the voice with in that causes you to fall

battle scars inflicted by yourself

or that stupid shelf

maybe it was that guy you shouldnt have given trust too

making a fool out of you

scars that mark up the soul are easy to hide

because they are hidden deep inside

while the scars on the outside are all people see

and because of them no one will ever see inside of me
