carpe infinitumMay 15, 2008 - 09:25 AM PST the tenor sings within my mouth trapped behind ranked snow white horses - seize the infinite - absentmindedly reciting creed amidst shadows of a temple long bereft of word or note there he stands atop my tongue treading pacing travelling writhing end to withering tip his notes remain aborted only tasted, never eaten a lilting swell of soaring forgetfulness accompanies this mockery of possibility he tempts my lips - part for me - he beckons my limbs - reach for me - he bends the straight path corner and crevice while the peaks and valleys tremble, rioted by his voice, his unseen machinations -- the shifting continents of my face splinter sharply cracking as a rind, the sound heralding the birth of one, cold, smile. |
