daring for an instant to dream divine
wishing for a moment your hands in mine
destined to write instead such desperate phrase
as the stars that light the sky do ye lay
most gently rolling waves that lap the beach
replacing words with staves that music speaks
such bright night from your eyes can i embrace

had life no rules or love potent sting
as roses sigh in the silent shadow
basking in the mystery of twilight
the stillness broken to let me sing
the prose so shy in the stars quiet glow
I would burst through walls to have you tonight
