Hopeless Romantic's SonnetApr 03, 2008 - 23:32 PM PST Do you ever hear your own heart beating? Moving quickly from your exhaling chest? Your heart is on a never-ending quest To find a sensitive heart not seething. His soft blue eyes leave an image pleasing, Leaving an imprint, a surprising guest, Inviting itself in without a jest. In the azure blue, a golden gleaming. His shy smile fills me with happiness, A rare pleasure I can’t take for granted. I can still hear his voice in whispers. It’s only been an hour since his bliss Took hold of me and left me enchanted. I can only hope the feeling lingers. |
