Human FamilyApr 03, 2008 - 23:33 PM PST “I was always hoping you did.” Said the dying man to the shriveled rose. A bleeding sunset off in the distance. “Wherever life takes me, I want to be with you forever.” Says a man on one kneed. “Or until tomorrow…” Whispered the stars. Advance or retreat? “I want so much more then they’ve got planned.” Cries a prisoner as night falls. On the TV, Paris is in flames. This is the last of Earth. The shriveled rose tells the dying man, “I’m better because you’re here.” He sees the sunset for the last time. Sometimes, love just dies. The woman replied, “What if forever was only until tomorrow?” She retreats into a distant sleep. How can he go on with half of himself missing? Acoustic shadows scream SILENCE. He feared his cries had fallen on deaf ears. “Now it’s over,” he says, “I never said it because I never believed it to be true.” Our human family is suffering and dying. |
