As you turn your back for the last time
I call your name once more.
I bite my lip, I refuse to cry,
the words get caught in my throught.
You stand there waiting, eager to leave,
my heart is breaking, another promise you couldn't keep...
what was I expecting?

I can't count the times you've fallen short,
I can't count the times you've broken my heart.
I can't count the times you've made my cry,
I can't count the times you haven't tried.

So as you wait for my unspoken words,
I come upon a crushing realization.
I realize you've changed from who you were,
And if you don't love me, then I have to let you go.
