i didn't quit

i'm still in the rat race. ugh. and late for it.

i'm always late. i feel like its impossible to be on time sometimes. even when it's something i care about. not sure why this is.

on an uplifting note, i'm about to take a trip--to austin, texas. i've only been one time, and the only thing i remember is a ten-foot statue of stevie ray vaughn next to the river. it was pretty impressive to little twelve-year old me. i think it was after this trip that i really started listening to music more, though i'm not sure what seeing stevie had to do with that. maybe his spirit shot me with a little music-lover's arrow.

anyway, this time i'm going back to see and play a lot of music, and i'm really excited. to be able to perform, to be able to meet others who do what i do....and obviously, the 78 degree forecast is really exciting to me right now. in michigan we're 6 inches away from breaking the record snowfall, and there's about 12 inches projected for this weekend. i always thought i was more of a winter kind of girl, but i've never looked forward to sunshine more in my life.

and.....i'm still late.

any suggestions as to where i can get some good barbecue in austin?
