Nonexisting Peace

A little fly sitting in a tree
and I have yet to come by its breeze
Judgment by looks and yet everyone is blind
Imagine said John Lennon but everyone was too
Busy imagining their own wealth and self loathing
Self absorbed capitalistic ideals
Is it that bad to be a liberal when being conservative
Is only one opposite side away
All i have to do is turn around and they each become one another
Right is left at times and left is sometimes right
If I sit in the middle does that make me a hypocrite?
When I imagined I pictured victory signs and
Mushroom clouds that were made out of pure hydrogen and oxygen
You give birth to no nonsense
But cultivate assimilation and conformity
Where does loyalty lie when it doesn't seem to lay on truth
It is only a play on words but the words don't seem to know any games
Imagine John living life in peace
Well you lucky bastard he is now
So you can stop imagining
And start playing the song
But instead of listening go out and sing
