Itchin for some INK

So, it's true what they say...you can't get just one tattoo. After I got the first one on my back, I was like, Oh that's it for me. It hurt, I'm done. Now, I'm on 4, and have the next couple planned. I do have a theme to my tats. I'm using my body as a tribute to those who inspire me. First was a David Mack piece on my back. Just a graphic element, but it's from his comic books, and that man changed my life. Check him out, he's an unbelievable artist. Then I got a piece from the comic book Sin City (there was a movie a couple years ago, black and white, Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba...) and I was a fan before the films (read all the books). So I figured that getting a tribute to Frank Miller, a bold noir-style artist was cool. So, I got an image of Nancy (Alba's character...the stripper) on my right thigh 2 days before moving to Vegas. I thought getting something from Sin City tattooed on my leg right before moving to Sin City was highly appropriate. Then there was my niece and nephews names that circle my ankle with little stars between them. Then most recently I got an amazing piece from Salvador Dali on my left thigh (I felt terribly unbalanced). I LOVE this one. It's my only color piece and it was the most expensive and painstaking. 2 sittings, $400 and about 7 hours all together, but it is so beautiful, I love it.

So next is my newest nephews name "Will" that's going right above my other nephews name (they are both my sisters, my niece is my brothers child). Then I'm thinking that I want to get a James Jean piece on me. He has been a huge inspiration to me as of late, and his work is phenomenal. There's an illustration that he did for a magazine article about Tool when they put out 10,000 Days, and I'm thinking that I want that. I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Pay tribute to Jean and Tool at the same time! I'd love to throw in a lyric from Tool as well. I just have no idea where to put it...I know the ribs REALLY hurt. If I could have it my way, and didn't worry about money, I have a dream piece (that I"m sure I'll never get) of the painting "The 2 Fridas" on my ribs. One Frida on each rib and connected across my back with the veins of the hearts. How kick ass would that be???? But alas, I have a feeling that won't happen. I would LOVE to get something by Jackson Pollock on me, because he is hands down my favorite painter ever...but it would just look like the tattoo artist had parkinson's or something...his work would not translate to a tattoo very well. But dang man...

I NEED A NEW TATTOO! I miss the buzz of the needle!!
