Lets get angryApr 16, 2008 - 05:43 AM PST Here is a theory or belief that I did not come up with. The powers-that-be do not want people to be educated. There are those who believe they hold all the power and they do not want to give it up. When I say educated, I do not refer to people with college degrees. Some of the biggest dumb assess I know have degrees. When I say educated, I refer to people to who really understand how the world works. The powers fear when people educate themselves. Educated people ask questions. Educated people talk to other people. They share their ideas; listen to other views. Uneducated people are compliant and complacent. They don’t question the establishment because they simply believe this is how it is and there is nothing we can do. Something to chew on: Health care: Why is it people in other countries can receive sound medical treatment even if they do not work? Social services: Why is IL the 14th wealthiest state in the US, yet is 47th in terms of how much they support people with disabilities and elderly? Gas prices: If there is such a shortage on oil, why is the US only country that has experienced gas prices tripling in last ten years? Education: People who graduated college graduated with a piece of paper and a crap load of debt. Employers know that they can hire new grads for super cheap, offer them a benefits package, and treat them like crap. These new grads they stick with their crappy job that they hate because they need health insurance and have to pay back thousand of dollars in student loans. Politicians: George Bush got his degree from where? Does not say much about Ivy League. Why is it all these politicians are so pro war/pro protect our country, yet when it was their opportunity to serve in the military they chose not to serve? Last time I check there is only one senator between the senate and the house that has a son or daughter in the military? People please do your research; ask your questions; talk to strangers; listen. |
