Life is not Hard

Jun 03, 2008 - 09:44 AM PST

I wonder when we choose to make life HARD. i went to a yoga class yesterday and the teacher was so excited to throw "hard" poses at us- like this was some sort of way to see if we were "good yogis" or not.

Interesting.

Why is it that we feel life is hard, and then ya die? why are we trying so hard to not get older, not get heavier, not GET...(you insert name here.)

Is this theory truly serving us?

Of course there are things that happen in this playground called life that throw curve balls at us- know us off our centers and cause us to BE in the moment of NOW.

But this IS a part of the essence of the flow of life. Each experience is meant to remind us about something to see, a golden nugget to unravel that draws us closer to OUR truest selves.

I spent most of my early years on this planet making life HARD. I worked out hard to be thin, i worked long hours to make lots of money, I worked hard in school to be accolated, i worked hard in relationships to get people to "like" me.

My whole perception was that more I worked, the harder I worked, the more I would succeed.

But at what?

What is there to succeed?

We all die.
We all have our ups and downs- ins and outs....

But why the need to succeed in an illusionary goal oriented idea?

WHAT IF...
Life was here to be experienced.
What if we let go of the idea that we GET extra POINTS if we work harder???
What if we giggled.
What if we chose to let go of trying so hard??? And allowed the magic of life to show us what if we loved without the need for approval?

What if?

We do not need to try harder anymore,
We do not need to succeed and win

We just need to choose to play.
Play in this adventurous game called LIFE.

And see ALL that flows to you as a reason to look DEEPER within.
What is the gift here?
What am i still holding on to?
Can i lighten up a bit?

It is just life, my friends, and it is not meant to be so HARD.
It is meant to be expressed, celebrated, unraveled, Loved....
Played......
