Life: The defining moments.

"Life is a series of defining moments." If I was asked what moments changed my life
and made me who i am today, I could not respond. To me every moment, every choice,
is a defining one. No specific events come to my mind when I think of what defines me as
a person, but what caused the events that shaped me into a young adult are as clear as day.
The writing and music that I have grown to love have shaped my path and determine the rest
of my life.



From writing comes expression of the souls emotion. These feelings can be conveyed through figurative and literal language. The sentences can seem as if they flow directly from the soul. The words can create rhythmic patterns making beautiful poetry, full of expression and symmetry. They can also explain thoroughly what the true meaning of a message or point is, creating essays littered vividly with a passion for the subject and its ideas. The power of writing, combined with the rhythm of song can create music. Both the lyrics and the instrumentation can convey powerful messages to all of those who listen.



Through music I have found the tempo of my soul. My pulse has become a syncopated metronome of life. I have taken my style and my life's philosophies from the vast number of electronica genres familiar to the rave community. Peace, love unity and respect, or better known as "plur" is not just a saying shared among ravers, but more a creed or moral code. It is a way of life that can elevate a ravers connectivity with his environment. For example, peace, in the essence of the word, can be applied internally and shared externally. Internal peace is reached by self-loving and by have all of your emotions distributed equally. To express external peace is to connect on a metaphysical level with your surroundings, including the environment as a whole, and all the biota, or life it supports. Peace is the elevation of the earths soul and its connectivity with the plants and animals which live on it.



It is impossible to give just two examples of events that define the life of a human being, although the influence caused by these art forms on me make it clear what caused my defining events. Michael Jackson once wrote: "Your playing with your life, this ain't no truth or dare, they'll kick you when your down, and tell you its fair. Just beat it." My interpretation of what he was saying was that no mater what action ever occurs, there will always be consequences and its how people choose to deal with these choices that makes them who they are. What defines a person is if they stick it out and bare the consequences, or run and hide. With music and writing as my influences, I choose to stick it out, and see what the future has in store. I use my influences to express who I am, and to help others define themselves.
