...long time no visit...

so my life as I knew it is gone....and now I have entered the life of a student of higher learning...aka grad school. I can no longer stay up past 11 because my body is wired to get up at 5, 5:30 at the latest so I have time to get my lesson plans and visual stimuli ready for the day's therapy. These last few weeks have been crazy. I finally went to an open mic night on wednesday and it was the first time I had had some semblance of a social life on a weeknight...since before I graduated undergrad.

Don't listen to the complaining, I love my chosen field. The grad program I'm in is half as long as the normal ones, so it's twice as intense (naturally) so basically it's like speech-path bootcamp. I've given 12 hours of therapy a week for the last 3 and a half weeks. That amounts to 40 ish hours of therapy towards my certification in less than a month. the first month of my program...crazy no? But I love it! Teaching children new techniques to help them read is fantastic.

Camp ends next week and I get a week off from the clinic (since it will be finals time for classes...yep i still have those too ) and then I start a new camp for summer II, stuttering camp. That will be an experience.

All that to say, don't worry dear quarterlife, I have not forgotten you...I have just become a hermit and a slave to my graduate degree...I shall return...hopefully soon.
