Welcome to the long-awaited ql redesign! Many thanks to Shane Coburn, Melissa Conrad, and the team at Core Objects for their amazing hard work and dedication. Besides our great new look, you’ll find many changes in the new build, none more important than the new SHOWS page:

SHOWS

We used to have only one show – our own quarterlife series – but we have now dedicated ourselves to becoming the premiere destination for high-quality Internet content. In the coming months, several new series will debut on our new SHOWS page, some of them by top industry professionals and some by emerging filmmakers.

The first will be I Believe, Devon Gummersall’s (from My So-Called Life) emotional documentary series about religion in America today. Watch the trailer already up on the SHOWS page.

Second will be Film School, where Ed Zwick and I – with the help of some of our friends – will take you through the nuts and bolts of filmmaking.

Later this fall you’ll see LA Comedywerkz, a new series from quarterlife and the Independent Comedy Network – an amazing collection of insane and endearing improv artists who give new meaning to the word chaos.

And soon after that you’ll see Unheard – a new series about up-and-coming music scenes in cities around the country.


But just as important will be the upcoming competition among our own members to see whose video will be the pilot for a new series on the site. We’ve been working on this for many months now, so keep watching the site for the official announcement.

FUNCTIONS

Among the many new functions, you’ll find Today on qlife… on the Home Page, to let you know the cool things happening from day to day on the site.

And you can now have up to 12 top friends on your profile page. Speaking of your profile page, many of you will find that your customized profile looks did not completely transfer. That’s because we’ve made so many design changes on the page itself. But the good news is that we have even more and cooler ways to customize your profile. Click on the STYLE button to see.
