What I would have gone through

To what cost was paid

If I had got in the way

Would she have seen me there?

In my underwear?

To see my mother smoke

Or see my grandfather joke

Would I fly alone?

Would she be in the zone?

When I needed her there?

Would she just stand and stare?

A hypothetical question

for my life's gesture

She is always there

In the light with flowing hair

In my dreams tonight

And in my arms... yea right
