Night Through My Eyes

A thin gray sheet
Illuminates the nighttime sky
By a shining moon
The wind nudges the clouds along
And darkness deepens
The absence of light becomes more present
The sheet turns to a shade of red
Now shining by help of the stars

A glare through the glass
Shows silhouetted trees
In the forefront
Of the celestial crimson

One single streetlight
Seems to illuminate the world.
