Obama's Speech in Philadelphia Yesterday

Mar 19, 2008 - 13:48 PM PST

While I totally respect both republicans and hillary supporters (if they know what they're talking about, that is) I just have to say, I've been awed and inspired by Barack Obama's campaign. Maybe it's just that I'm young and connect to him more than the other candidates, but he presents more honesty than one usually sees from such a leader, and I really respect him for that. Instead of backing down and completely denying any personal connection to the now infamous Jeremiah Wright he stood up and said it as it was. In his speeches he shows this level of intellect that I greatly admire, and while he might not have the decades of experience everyone feels a President needs, if he's smart, isn't that what's important?
Maybe I'm naive and need to learn more about politics before I go making such assumptions, and maybe Hillary or McCain would make a better president, but honestly, I feel like Obama could really affect change (in a good way!) on our country.
Sorrry if I bored you will political rant, but felt like I just had to say it!

Yeah, when I heard about all this controversy, I thought his chances at getting into office dropped tremendously, but after that speech, I was like whoa,if that doesn't change people's minds nothing will.
