Ode to the King

The night felt like 36 hours
Lights flashing
In the blink of an eye

Shapes rushing at you
Animal's claw

Reverberating shapes
Images of peace
Simultaneous movement

Walking and swaying
Dancing like the King
Riding the snake
The eternal being

Taken over
Dionysus inflames you
Emotion-effervescent

Head now on pavement
Lights flashing
All hallucinations come as one
Until consciousness has gone.

Was never a big fan of the "King" but I do believe you pay him proper tribute. It would not at all surprise me to find out that that is how it truly feels to perform on stage in front of the audiences he had to face. I like it.
