Oh My!

I put up a wall of positivity and love between the world and myself.

When in reality I am full of negativity and hate.

But, It is buried under all the layers.

Layers of false hope,

Unrequited love,

Liars,

Healers,

Sinners,

Insomnia.

All these things combined to make a hard core of me.

 

On the outside I’m all smiles.

On the inside I’m all frowns.

I seem to be the happiest camper.

Then, I let out a frown.

Oh no, there goes the wall again.

It seems to have a crack.

It failed again.

Must keep the people away!

Off to the bed I go,

To lie restlessly for the fourth night in a row.

 

Good Morning!

It’s too early for this.

No, I must be all smiles and bright as this horrid day.

I exit the house like an over-polished ray of sun.

Living the truth.

 

Forward!

I see more lies as I walk the streets.

Men,

Women,

Children,

And everything inbetween.

All lies I tell you.

 

Wait!

If we are all lies,

Then is that not the truth?
