Here are some old entries from my MySpace blog earlier this month that I think are pretty good and thought I would import over here:

1)
For those who don’t know me (in which case, why are you reading my blog?), I do performance art. I feel extremely fortunate to be doing what I do, to love what I do.

It really depresses me when I meet people who are doing something just because it pays the bills. I don’t blame them, and I don’t look down on them…it just makes me feel incredibly fortunate not to have to do what they do.

I love what I do…I think I’ve made that clear. If anyone wants to see my particular performance art, I finally got a permit to do it at the State Street station on Thursdays…I couldn’t be more excited that I get to share it with so many people. To know performance times, message me, I’ll let you know.

Enjoy what you do. Love what you do. Love who you are. Cause that’s all ya got! ☺

2) Mating rituals.

I think mating rituals of our time are fairly strange. Don’t get me wrong, I love a guy coming up to talk to me at a bar, just like any girl would. But clearly this is not how they did it during the cavemen. I mean, I’m guessing, but I think that’s a fairly safe assumption to make.
The thing is, I don’t get the concept of seeing someone in a bar and asking them out, expecting them to be your soul mate. Obviously it happens, people have done it before, it’s a classic love story. I’m just saying I kind of like a buffet, you know? I’m the kind of gal who can’t see one person and decide I would like to date them for the next few months. It’s just not in my DNA. I’m all about free love, I guess. I guess it’s the pessimist in me saying I don’t believe in love at first sight. At least not for me. But we’ll see how all that ends up.

On that note, I’m off to the bar…MAYBE I’ll meet the love of my life! Go fig.
