Our fingers were lovers once.
You just didn’t know it.
They met at the tips,
Like a much needed kiss.
And they could find each other,
Whatever obstacles may have come in their way.
And when time stopped,
They wrapped around each other,
Like protective arms.
And when the world ended,
They held each other through it all.
