I left my white eggshells at the foot
of Caesar’s dusty sandals and yolk tears
fell
a blind lion’s blood,
sunshine stains over
chiseled
clefts and laurel,
his legacy is black mamba Rome,
red skinned stones,
a crocodile senate,
of grape seed cloth,
and blueberry blood.
